The number of nominations received over the past months was overwhelming and the full list with finalists has now been compiled.

The black-tie event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow, on Wednesday, 12th of September.

The Scottish Women’s Awards 2018 aim to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of women entrepreneurs, business women, professionals, civil servants, women in uniform, charity workers and many more that make Scotland a greater place to live in.

St Andrews Farmhouse Cheese Company is one of the finalists in the Food and Drink Entrepreneur category, and will find out if they have managed to win the competition and grab an accolade at the elegant ceremony being held on Wednesday.

Jane Stewart, Director and Founder of St Andrews Farmhouse Cheese Company commented,

“2018 has been an exciting year so far for St Andrews Farmhouse Cheese Company – we are celebrating 10 years since we first began to make cheese here on the family farm in Fife, and whilst the hard work continues, it has been a real thrill to have won Best British Territorial Cheese at Melton Mowbray in May; Best Dairy Product, and also Runner up Best Scottish Product at the Scotland Food and Drink Awards in June; and now to be nominated in the Scottish Women’s Awards. We are proud to be contributing to the growing reputation for food and drink that Scotland in general – and Fife in particular – now has to offer.

The awards embody the continuing strength, grit and determination of women, honouring those who continue to thrive, excelling them to the forefront of their industries.

The glamorous event promises to be an inspiring and memorable night in this year’s events calendar. Numerous prestigious accolades will be awarded to the most deserving women, including CEO of the Year, Creative Industries Leader of the Year, Woman of the Year and many more.

Irfan Younis, CEO of Creative Oceanic said: “The Scottish Women’s Awards 2018 are on their second year and aim to celebrate the amazing breadth of talent and the hard work of female professionals and entrepreneurs, whose work often goes un-recognised.

“We are very happy to see the huge engagement of the Scottish public who have voted for their favourite female personalities to give them the recognition they deserve. We are looking forward to welcoming inspirational Scottish women at the ceremony who have gone above and beyond to achieve their goals and delivering another enjoyable event. We wish all the finalists the best of luck.”
