Scottish luxury ice-cream maker Equi's is celebrating Veganuary with booming sales of their vegan ice cream and the launch of their 500ml Strictly Strawberry flavour.

In an exclusive deal for Veganuary, Equi’s plant-based flavour is now available in all 103 Lidl stores across Scotland.

Off the back of a strong year for sales of their vegan 120ml single scoop tubs, they have also secured a lucrative deal with 34 One O One stores and 50+ new listings at independent retailers which will see their new 500ml stocked on the shelves.

Since launching last year, the dairy-free ‘Strictly Strawberry’ vegan ice cream has been one of their best selling artisan products and continues to enjoy high consumer demand.

This exciting natural flavour is made with the same high standards that you can expect from the award-winning fourth-generation ice-cream maker.

Equi’s Strictly Strawberry is made in Scotland using high-quality coconut oil as an alternative to traditional dairy, the result is a smooth luxurious texture.

The plant-based product adds to substantial listings across Scotland which now include their 500ml size at Spar, Lidl and One O One.

You’ll also find Strictly Strawberry in 120ml grab and go pots priced at£1.50 from independent Convenience Stores such as Spar, Costcutter and Nisa across Glasgow & Lanarkshire, and Brake’s Scotland for food service buyers.

Equi’s, the current ICA UK ice cream champions are known for creating irresistible artisan ice cream using high-quality ingredients from local Scottish dairy farms, and secret family recipes that have been passed down through four generations.

Chris Law, Head of Sales & Marketing at Equi’s Ice Cream, explains:

“Consumers are more health-conscious than ever before and the success of our plant-based vegan ice cream reflects new lifestyle buying behaviours.
“Local ingredients with high-quality Scottish provenance and flavour choice are key. That’s why we are really excited to expand with new partnerships with LIDL and One O One across Scotland.
“Sales have been booming for our low cal and dairy-free flavours, and it was our best year for these ranges. With our new tub sizes, we believe that our growth will continue to thrive under our new retail partnerships.”
