The Beinn an Tuirc team were thrilled to win Gin Tourist Destination of the Year at the Scottish Gin Awards on Wednesday evening. Their Tarbert Legbiter picked up a bronze in the High Strength Gin category and there were also bronzes for Isle of Gigha Coastal and the Ceann Loch Citrus gins in the London Dry and Citrus Gin categories respectively. With so many amazing Scottish gins on the market, to be acknowledged in the taste awards is a wonderful achievement and testament to their highly skilled distillery team.

The Gin Tourist Destination of the Year award was a particularly competitive category, with record numbers of applicants and a shortlist of ten businesses. There was no hiding the elation at the Beinn an Tuirc table when judge Alan Wolstenholme read out their name. Directors Niall and Emma raced to the stage for the presentation and danced back to the table with the award.

Emma said, "This award in particular means the world to us as we really pride ourselves on giving our visitors a unique and authentic experience.  We acknowledge the time and effort it takes to get here and endeavour to make every visitor feel welcome and special.  Kintyre is a beautiful part of the world, and we are so proud to put it on the map and hopefully give people more reasons to visit.”
