Brakes Scotland, a leading distributor of high-quality food products to the Scottish foodservice industry, is excited to announce its partnership with The Buffalo Farm, a renowned producer of authentic buffalo mozzarella and Ciliegine. This exciting collaboration expands Brakes Scotland's commitment to growing their local range and showcasing outstanding Scottish products.

Located in the heart of Scotland in Kirkcaldy, The Buffalo Farm has gained a reputation for producing exceptional buffalo dairy products. In 2005 6th generation farmer, Steven Mitchell, wanted to do something deliciously different and introduced a small herd of water buffalo to Clentrie Farm. From humble beginnings, The Buffalo Farm has become home to over 500 water Buffalo, the largest herd in Scotland. Now a multi award-winning producer, they employ highly skilled cheesemakers in their state-of-the-art facility to produce the very best quality products.

Their buffalo mozzarella is known for its creamy texture and delicate flavour. Plus, their Ciliegine, a small and delightful version of the mozzarella, has become culinary favourites for chefs and food enthusiasts alike, including Nick Nairn and Gordon Ramsay. The Buffalo Farms’ commitment to sustainable and ethical farming practices align perfectly with Brakes Scotland’s values, ensuring that customers receive high-quality products with a focus on animal welfare and environmental responsibility.
