Visit Inverness Loch Ness and Inverness City Centre BID are delighted to be working together with businesses in their areas to bring a new exciting culinary event in early 2024 to the calendar.  The Food and Drink Fortnight will ensure locals and visitors can banish the January blues by turning a winter afternoon or evening into a gastronomic celebration by sampling the delectable feasts available from our local larders.

The City of Inverness, Loch Ness and surrounding areas are home to an abundance of high-quality and unique or bespoke food and drink establishments which open their doors, or hatches, and provide a warm welcome to clientele throughout the year.  It’s not always easy to book a table in season which is one of the reasons why the businesses have joined forces to put together a fortnight of special deals and promotions to encourage us all to savour and enjoy something new or a bit different without breaking the bank.

The event will run between Monday 29th January and Monday 12th February and the dedicated website link will showcase all that is on offer with everything from free cake, delicious afternoon teas and fine dining.

These limited-time special offers will include discounts, tempting and new menu options as well as complimentary drinks and much more. For food and drink enthusiasts, this presents a great opportunity to revel in a culinary journey within and around our fantastic destination.

CEO of Visit Inverness Loch Ness Don Johnston said “We are thrilled to announce our collaboration for an exciting event which emphasises our commitment to showcasing local produce in our wonderful destination. The rich tapestry of our region goes beyond initial perceptions, and our businesses take pride in offering something different and in many cases truly exceptional. The passion and dedication to food and drink will be on full display during our inaugural Food and Drink Fortnight, where we aim to celebrate the diverse flavours and hidden gems that make our community in so many ways unique.”

Margaret Laws, Inverness City Centre Business Improvement District’s Admin and Marketing Manager added “We are delighted to be working with VILN and look forward to launching this new event in early 2024. We would encourage hospitality businesses in our area to get in touch and involved to help us celebrate and showcase the variety of food and drink  we have to offer.”
